Clear sky and calm sea blurring on the horizon: Alessandro Oteri’s narration begins with the image of Liguria, his native land and his creativity drive. Plunged into a luxuriant nature, the designer immediately seizes the colors surrounding it and travels with his creativity in a far-away universe committed to convey these emotions into reality: the blue sole and the perfect décolleté, the brand’s two signature elements, come from this inspiration.
Thanks to a mathematical-scientific training and to the years spent observing the productive process of his shoes, Oteri’s creative inspiration combines with an analytical and precise study on the shoe construction, allowing him to obtain models distinguished by a perfect fit. A niche brand bearing the designer’s cultural heritage; eclectic combinations deriving from the dualism between tradition and modernity.
Alessandro Oteri, born in Liguria, skillful communicator and design professional, discovers through passion the excellence of the historic workmanship of Vigevano, inheriting its flair and skill.
The Alessandro Oteri brand comes to light in 2004 with its first shoe model distinguished by straightforward lines, beloved by the Tigullio manufacturing tradition, but also in step with fashion trends.
Collection after collection, the brand is displayed in the most prestigious stores around the world.
In 2006 the designer opens his first “Alessandro Oteri” Atelier in Milan, an immediate international success. The Atelier is then moved to via Montenapoleone, the heart of the luxury shopping district, until 2013.
In 2014 Alessandro Oteri is awarded the “Turio Coppello” prize in Chiavari, the workmanship gold medal. In the same year, the designer sights his décolleté in a luxury mall in Tokyo.
In 2019 Oteri launches his new “Alessandro Oteri” project placing the décolleté at the center of his collection. Digital and real world merges: the launching of the new e-commerce site and the direct selling in his Milan’s atelier/home, in addition to a selected and limited-edition distribution in the most upscale stores.
